Great Service and Accommodation
This is for John Barker, BMW service manager. I was on tour of 7 Western states from California in Early September. Tire wear for my GS 1200 front was excessive (thanks to having a lot of fun) and I was concerned another 1,000 miles back home was far enough to be asking for trouble. I interrupted my trip on a semi-emergency basis knowing there are darned few options between Grand Junction and home without hitting Salt Lake, something no backroad rider would want to endure. Who knows how many others rushed him that day. So I showed up with hat (er, helmet) in hand asking for a way to fit me in for a tire. This happened over the Labor Day weekend when your dealership sponsored a Rally and the house was crawling with participants and service customers. John saw my situation and tried hard to fit me in-- and IN TWO HOURS he had me back on the road with new rubber and a recall item that needed attention that he spent time to talk about. Not only did your outfit rise to the occasion on a hectic weekend, John kept checking with me and we had friendly talk as if we were old riding companions. This, while he juggled another customer from Texas with a tire problem with his Harley, and yet another scheduled customer who had a multiple item work order on his GSA. John is a dedicated SM with very much the right approach. You can tell he is a dedicated member of the MC community as well as a get it done -- right kind of guy. You don't see this kind of person often in the motor industry as a whole and it's clear John has a passion for the sport and his work. Kudos to John and your team!
